“Nel 2020 sono diventato padre per la seconda volta e, dopo aver vissuto a New York per 8 anni, siamo tornati a Milano, città dove avevo già vissuto fino al 2010.

Nel 2010 ero single, studiavo ingegneria meccanica e passavo le notti in bianco a sognare di diventare un artista. Mi è sembrato che un ciclo della mia vita si fosse concluso e che ne stesse cominciando un altro.
Il mio libro, “Almanac of Forgotten Memories”, parla di questi cambiamenti.”

Il libro nasce dalla necessità di dare valore e creare coerenza a un catalogo ossessivo di immagini rappresentanti piccoli tesori trovati nella vita di tutti i giorni. Usando la struttura di un diario non convenzionale, foto e linee di testo lavorano insieme creando una narrativa che si sviluppa nelle sue 365 pagine (circa).
E’ viaggio che, attraverso i suoi 12 capitoli, copre 12 mesi presi da 12 anni di vita, raccontando un periodo di grandi cambiamenti con notevole ironia e tremenda serietà.

“In 2020 I became a father for the second time, and I moved back to Milan after living in New York for 8 years. The last time I lived in Milan was in 2010, and back then I was single, studying Mechanical Engineering and spending the nights dreaming of becoming an artist. It felt like a transformative life cycle had ended and another one had begun. My book, “Almanac of Forgotten Memories” explores this transformation.”

 This book was born out of a necessity to give meaning and weight to an ever-growing pile of images, an obsessive catalog of small treasures found in everyday life. Using the structure of an uncommon diary, images, and text come together creating a narrative that continues throughout its 365(-ish) pages.
Like a diary, the book is divided into 12 chapters, but unlike a classical diary, each chapter recalls a month taken from a different year. The result is a collection of memories, events, and instances that come together, creating a blurry painting of 12 years in a life.
