Dopo il grande successo di Prism Interiors nel quale l’autore si è confrontato in modo del tutto sperimentale con l’editing e il design di Jason Fulford, Piero decide di raccogliere in un volume più corposo più di 100 tra le sue fotografie più rappresentative.
The rainbow is underestimated è un romanzo di formazione visiva che arriva dopo un lungo periodo di editing sulle immagini prodotte da Piero negli ultimi 5 anni.
Abbiamo cercato di costruire una sequenza che rispecchiasse l’atteggiamento dell’autore, non abbinando le immagini in doppia pagina, ma mettendo in sequenza un flusso di connessioni, rimandi visivi e semantici.
Un piccolo viaggio dentro l’immaginario di uno dei fotografi italiani più interessanti degli ultimi anni.

“The rainbow is underestimated” is the second book by Piero Percoco for Skinnerboox.
After the big success of “Prism Interiors” in which the publisher and the author entrusted a selection of pictures to Jason Fulford, here we decided to work on a more exhaustive serie of images.
The rainbow is underestimated is a visual training novel that comes after a long period of editing on the images produced by Piero in the last 5 years.
We have tried to build a sequence that reflects the attitude of the author, not combining the images ion classic double spreads , but by sequencing single pictures like a flow of connections, visual and semantic references.
A small journey into the imagination of one of the most interesting Italian photographers of recent years.
